I appreciated having separate steam/sauna in the changing rooms however these were incredibly small and didn’t feature any smell infusions or niche features. There was no fresh fruit or snacks offered which I find is normally standard in 5* spas. Firstly the charge just to access the wet facilities seems rather greedy considering the cost of the room for the night. I chose this hotel mainly due to the spa, which unfortunately was rather underwhelming. Their small touches and proactive, discreet service went a long way in helping me relax and indulge. I was warmly greeted by every staff member I came across and made to feel welcome and valued. The staff are by far what made my visit to Alexander House. My luxury room was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated, with a gorgeous marble bathroom and all of the amenities you could ever want. There is no denying that the building and grounds of this hotel are beautiful and it is certainly an escape from everyday life.
